Terms & Conditions - Train to Thrive Gym

Welcome to Train to Thrive Gym. These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of Train to Thrive's services and facilities. By signing up for membership, accessing our gym, or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Membership
1.1 Eligibility: Membership is open to individuals aged 18 years and older. Minors may be permitted with parental consent and under specific conditions, as determined by Train to Thrive. 1.2 Membership Types: Train to Thrive offers various membership types (e.g., Off-Peak, Full Access). Details of each type, including access times, benefits, and fees, are available upon request and on our website. 1.3 Membership Activation: Membership becomes active upon successful payment of the initial fees and completion of all required paperwork, including agreement to these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. 1.4 Membership Card/Access: Members will be issued an access method (e.g., key fob, digital pass) which must be presented for entry to the gym. This is non-transferable. 1.5 Health Declaration: All members must complete a health declaration form upon joining. It is the member's responsibility to inform Train to Thrive of any changes to their health status that may affect their ability to exercise safely. We recommend consulting a medical professional before starting any new exercise program.
2. Payments and Fees
2.1 Membership Fees: All membership fees are payable in advance or on a recurring basis as per your chosen membership plan. 2.2 Payment Methods: Payments can be made via direct debit, credit/debit card, or other methods agreed upon by Train to Thrive. 2.3 Late Payments: Failure to make payments on time may result in suspension or termination of membership and/or additional charges. 2.4 Price Changes: Train to Thrive reserves the right to review and adjust membership fees periodically. Members will be given at least 30 days' written notice of any price changes. 2.5 Refunds: Membership fees are generally non-refundable, except in specific circumstances outlined in our refund policy or as required by law.
3. Cancellation Policy
3.1 Cancellation by Member: Members wishing to cancel their membership must provide a minimum of 30 days' written notice to Train to Thrive. This notice period begins from the date we receive your written cancellation request. 3.2 Notice Period: During the 30-day notice period, all membership fees remain payable, and you retain access to the gym facilities as per your membership type. 3.3 How to Cancel: Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to TRINTOTHRIVE4@GMAIL.COM or by registered post to our gym address. 3.4 Cancellation by Train to Thrive: Train to Thrive reserves the right to cancel or suspend a membership immediately in instances of serious breach of these Terms and Conditions, non-payment of fees, or conduct deemed detrimental to other members or staff.
4. Gym Use and Conduct
4.1 Rules and Regulations: Members must adhere to all gym rules, regulations, and health & safety guidelines displayed prominently within the premises and communicated by staff. 4.2 Appropriate Conduct: Members are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and appropriate manner at all times. Disruptive, offensive, or unsafe behaviour will not be tolerated. 4.3 Equipment Use: Equipment must be used safely and correctly. Members should seek guidance from staff if unsure. Equipment must be returned to its proper place after use. 4.4 Dress Code:Appropriate athletic attire and clean, closed-toe footwear must be worn in the gym areas. 4.5 Personal Trainers: Only approved Train to Thrive personal trainers are permitted to conduct training sessions on the premises. 4.6 Photography/Filming: Photography and filming are generally prohibited within the gym without prior consent from management, especially if it infringes on other members' privacy. 4.7 Damage to Property: Members are responsible for any damage caused to gym property due to negligence or misuse.
5. Health and Safety
5.1 Assumption of Risk: Members acknowledge that physical exercise involves inherent risks, and they participate at their own risk. 5.2 Medical Advice: Train to Thrive staff are not medical professionals. Any advice given is for general guidance only. Members should consult their doctor regarding any health concerns before commencing or continuing exercise. 5.3 Injuries: Members must report any injuries sustained on the premises to a staff member immediately. 5.4 First Aid: Qualified first-aid personnel are available during operational hours.
6. Limitation of Liability
Train to Thrive and its staff shall not be liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to property occurring on the premises, except where such injury, loss, or damage is caused by our negligence or breach of these Terms and Conditions.
7. Privacy Policy
Train to Thrive’s collection, use, and protection of your personal information are governed by our Privacy Policy, which is available on our website and at the gym reception. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to Terms and Conditions
Train to Thrive reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Members will be notified of any significant changes by posting updated terms on our website or by other communication methods (e.g., email). Your continued use of our services after such notification constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
